'Deep Down' Officially released today

'Deep Down' is the second single from my new album and it is officially released today. This feels like the gateway to the 2018 release of the record, finally.

It's been a long year of treatment for my illness. Another year of patience, resilience, determination and faith. I have had to call on so much inner strength to stay strong when I couldn't do much else except trust. I had to put a lot of faith in my doctors, my body and myself. The process of being this unwell has really given me the opportunity to tune in deeply. I had to disappear from the outside world, which is why you haven't heard from me in a while. I had to go into the cave to find the answers.

It felt important to release 'Deep Down' at this time, to honour the huge year of healing that is passing. It also means I have a song to share with you for Christmas!

Deep Down was written about an amazing place on the South Coast of NSW, Australia where a group of musicians and dreamers used to meet around a beach fire each year at New Year's to play music and connect. We would stay till the sun came up, playing music till the first light over the sea on the Eastern horizon signalled the beginning of a new day, a new year. Deep Down is a celebration of love, beauty, nature and inspiration. It speaks of the connectedness of Spirit, the light beyond and within ourselves. The stars, the moon, the ocean, the fire. It is the transcendent, iridescent, sacred joy that comes from truly living, sharing and breathing in the moment. Of feeling free and not wanting the night to ever end. On those nights, we truly are "deep down in the middle of light".

I am looking forward to moving forward from here and cant wait to be back out there touring and seeing you on the road somewhere soon. I have a new doctor and things are really looking up. Until I can be out there face to face, I am planning on doing some live online shows next year so I will let you know when that is happening!
