The album is close...

Music is important because it frees our souls. Album's matter because they mean something. They are the culmination of years and years of experience, pain, joy, loss, triumph and tragedy. They carry with them a message. They help us to feel and fight and get up in the morning when we would rather be swallowed back up by the bliss that sleep brings. As I sit here by my Winter fire, I am putting the final touches on a record that has been a companion, friend, confidant and right royal pain in the ass. It's emotional. It's 15 years since I released my debut album "The Uluru Concept" back in Fremantle in the year 2000. It's intense being this close to the end and so close to the beginning. Bursting to let the creature out of the cage. A cage is no place for a bird such as this.
